manual question

I just bought my first I/O and need to get a manual for it. I read the sticky and followed the links but was unsure exactly what to download. I know I downloaded at least one wrong one, so could someone point me in the proper manual direction please.

2006 Mercruiser 4.3L carb
Alpha one gen II drive.

Also please bear with me if I ask some dumb questions getting to know this thing. As I said it is my first I/O.

You will need #14 for your outdrive, what's the SN of your engine? I am pretty sure it will take 2 different manuals, but have to look it up.

Thanks I will get you the serial number when I get home tonight.

Is it located on the block or somewhere else?

The flame arrestor cover should have a decal with the number on it. Will probably start with 0W and have 6 numbers after it.
There is also a tag on the block just above the starter.
