Marine Starting Battery?

Need to replace the battery for my 65hp outboard Merc. The old battery is listed as a Marine Starting battery. What's the difference between that and a normal car battery - other than the $15.00?

There suppose to have better plate suppport to stand up to the pounding of a boat
