mariner 150 problem

on my 150 hp mercury mariner one side ofe the block 3 cylinder fireing the other side not the coils at the plug ok/// if reversing the power packs the other side fireing 3 cylinder the other not/ one of the powerpack is dead or something before the pack could cause the problem? i am in mexico i have to make sure before i order something from the states

I'm sorta having a hard time digesting what you wrote... <br /><br />I think what you were trying to get across was something like...<br />So say you had spark on 1,3,5 (starboard bank) and no spark on 2,4,6 (port bank). You then proceded to swap switchboxes, and now you have spark on 2,4,6 and not on 1,3,5... that's bad switchbox. Unfortunately, a faulty switchbox can harm the other switchbox and both should be replaced.
