I own a 98 mariner 225 efi saltwater and when trying to start it this spring the engine was frozen. It appears as if salt water get into several of the cylinders. It did not get in through the fuel since I had installed a new one last year and there is no sign of any water in the fuel or corrosion in the fuel water seperator. It was acting up the last time I ran it. It lost power temporarily and dropped to an idle and then recovered. I thought it may have been vapor lock. Any thoughts?
