I have no idea what year this motor is ....

serial: 661 (printed on plate) then stamped out: S 031934

please advise ....

It should be a 1980 -1cyl-manual start-with a 15" shaft

I am having alot of issues with this motor .... I replaced the needle and seat (it looks different to the original) and this motor won't stay running same as before I changed the needle and seat ..... the fuel pump diaphragms are still good ..... any ideas?

always level like most carbs
shoot me the serial number and i can get you the manual for u

i just used the 2 stroke merc one
i could send u that one if you wanted

it came with 2 different carbs

Heres a build sheet from Mercury Marine apparently they did not know they did not build a 5HP in 1980.
