Greetings!! I have a 1987 Mariner 90 3 cyl that has decided to give me about 4 seconds of spark and then nothing. I was on the lake for about an hour, shut her off pulled her out and parked her in the Carport. Next day, I went to run it and it fired for 4 seconds then quit. After that NO spark..(I'm using a spark tester) The next day.. I go to fire it again... same thing about 3-4 seconds then the spark is gone.... The Stator has recently been replaced, as well as the rectifier. Plugs are new, safety tilt switch is good. Cranks great, just no fire... The Seloc manual doesnt seem to cover things as well as this forum... looking for answers and thanks in advance!

I'm leaning towards the switchbox... All a trigger unit does is trigger the switchbox to release the spark to the coils, assuming the stator is providing adequate voltage to the box... I find it odd that it will do this for 3-4 seconds and then fail... However it's kind of odd that the switchbox will work for 3-4 seconds and then fail... It's got to be one of the two... But my guess is the switchbox...
