mariner 90 non start

hello<br />i have a two mariner 90 serial nos op 169090 and op 159757 after a 6 month lay up. one started right away. the other was a none starter the only way i can get it to start is to squirt a bit of petrol into the three carbs via the air intake box. any ideas.<br />atlantic

You will need to disassemble the carbs and clean out the crud. Some carb cleaner and compressed air will clean out the passages and a rebuild kit for each would be a good idea. Use fresh fuel after you get that done. Classic signs of a Carb, needing attention, when you can start it by squirting fuel into the carbs and it runs for a bit..
