Mariner Manual?

Which manual should I get for my motor? Serial number is 6e9 402225 L 40 hp. 2 cycle 2 stroke. Made in Japan. I think it was built in 1982 but not really sure. I saw the table of content for the seloc 1400 Mariner manual and noticed that it does not cover the wiring diagram for the 40hp. Is there another manual? Do I need a Yamaha manual because they built it? Any help would be appreciated.

I saw the table of contents from the seloc 1400 manual for the mariner and under the wiring diagram there were no diagram for the 40hp. Mine is serial # is 6e9 402225 el. made in japan. Is this the right manual for my motor? any help would be very appreciated in this time of need.

Buy an OEM. The part number you need is 90-845202. It will be more expensive than the seloc, but worth every cent extra....

You're correct on your year, 1982.
