Not enough info shelbi. Can you provide more details ? Boat, prop, symptoms etc. 30mph would be good if it was pushing a 26ft 12000Ib boat.

18ft Skeeter bass boat, 3 blade prop Getting 2000 rpm's when in gear and in water. When in neutral I am getting all the rpm's I need.

Revving engine in neutral tells you nothing, other than the engine will run. Under a load is what counts. How do you get 30 mph at 2000 RPM? Most boats need over 3K RPM to plane. What RPM did you used to get?

Carb or EFI?

Have you checked the fuel system from the tank to the fuel pump for leaks and/or obstructions? Have you checked the fuel pump?

Shelbi revving your motor above 1500-2000 rpm without a load (neutral) runs a good risk of it tossing parts through the block. I also am wondering how you achieve 30mph at only 2000rpm. What prop are you running ?
