Looks like that cup and tube would be a good thing to have, and I think I'll order a couple the next time I lift my decking.
If you have an old window fan you could put in your boat tomorrow it'll help dry that foam out faster.
More foam won't hurt a thing and you can never have too much floatation foam.
I trust you're going to seal both faces of your decking? I don't usually advocate this, but when your decking is in direct contact with your foam like on your boat it would be a good thing to do.
