I thought it was pretty entertaining. Lots going on for me all race.

Danica ended up 12
That was pretty impressive actually. She did well last year at Phoenix too. I guess she likes flatter tracks. Got my attention.

Re: Martinsville..........

Jimmie Flash! He had the best car all weekend and proved it today. Burton, meh....... I like how Harvick came to Danica's aide at the end and dumped Vickers. Although, Vickers bump and run is what "used" to happen every lap at Bristol. You don't see it much anymore and when you do, someone gets upset. Still fun to see Harvick dump him. Danica did very well. Didn't look good for her for quite awhile. Still needs to learn rubbin' is racin'. This isn't open wheel.......

All in all I thought it was a pretty good race.........

Its time for Danica to poop of get off the pot. She has 1 and only 1 win in her entire professional racing career. If she wasn't pretty or come with the sponsorship, she wouldnt be driving anywhere. They need to put her in the truck or ARCA series and let her learn how to run in a car with fenders on it.

I would have LOVED to have seen Schrader dump her in to the wall. Theres not a driver on the circuit that would have said anything to him about it except maybe Martin if he wanted to (cause he earned it) and Stewart cause he owns the car.

She's not all shes been made out to be.

Re: Martinsville..........

ehenry,

There have been quite a few drivers over the years that never had a win, so, for her first full time year with the big boys, I don't think she is doing all that bad, she did show some pretty good skills this last weekend, I do agree she needs to get used to the rubbin is racing term, 12th place on the clip is pretty good, especially when you start 42nd, they showed some stats Sunday, that showed the finish position for 4 of the guys now considered the best and she beat all of their first time results.

I would have liked to see Danica keep her nose under Schrader going into the corner and make Schrader lift some or else potentially end up in the wall. Tracks like Martinsville she needs to race everyone hard like they all do. Look where Danica finished compared to Schrader...... She did very well for her first race at that track.

Actually Martinsville made me a potential Danica believer. Prior to this weekend I agreed with ehenry. I would've lost a pile of money if somebody asked me to bet against a top 15 and on the lead lap finish. I was very impressed. She was strong at Phoenix last year too before Burton dumped her. Seems like flat tracks work for her, which is saying something.

Ayuh, remember it well. Remember thinking, "What in the world was Burton thinking?". Disagree with the caption, "Danica Patrick causes huge crash at end". But, we debated that last year. Very unusual for Burton to dump anyone, even if a tap means winning a race. Gets frustating....lol

Agree. I don't think he did it on purpose. I was sitting right there Between 3 and 4, but I didn't see him hit her. I think it is clear the whole mess started with him, but NASCAR messed that up by not throwing the yellow. They did the same with Gordon limping around looking for Boyer a few laps earlier. Caused that whole fight deal, and he should've been black flagged or a yellow out if he wouldn't come in. I like them taking their time with yellows, but the fact is driver safety says throw it.

Danica also deserves some blame as she should've turned onto pit road. She past right by it with some level of control.

I would bet she was wanting to do nothing more than to cross the finish line if possible. Kinda like Edwards did on foot after his big wreck, in true Ricky Bobby style.

I think Burton thought he could hold the car down w/o hitting Danica. He found out otherwise...........

NASCAR should have thrown the yellow with all the oil on the track. They "claim" they couldn't see it. I think they just wanted to finish under green...

As far as Danica not pitting, thing is, she had already dumped oil in the corner. That's what caused the wreck. Danica just was caught up in it by not pitting. If she pitted, the wreck still would have happened.

I would bet she was wanting to do nothing more than to cross the finish line if possible. Kinda like Edwards did on foot after his big wreck, in true Ricky Bobby style.

By staying out, she didn't go an extra lap down( I think she crossed the finish. Would have to go back to the tape...lol) and finished higher giving her more points etc, etc, etc.....

Where are they racing this weekend? Heck, I don't even know..............

Now I vaguly remember, thanks. Drove past the track on the way to Corpus Christi one Feb. shortly after it was built. Had to pull in. Gift shop was open so we bought some gear. Haven't been by there since.....

Re: Martinsville..........

They have permanent Condos at the track. That would be wild. Living at a race track.

That is wild! I love my NASCAR, but, I don't think I'm hardcore enough to live at a track..... Now if I was a JR fan......lol
