I am trying to figure out how many cubit feet of wood i have in log form. I have 11 logs that are 4ft in diamater and 6ft long. can anyone help me figure out the total cubic feet?

Re: math help

Area of a circle is radius squared times pi.

So the area of the end of each log is:

2 x 2 x 3.14 = 12.56 square feet.

Each log is 6 feet long, so each log is 12.56 x 6 = 75.36 cubic feet.

You have 11 logs, so total cubic feet of wood is 75.36 x 11 = 828.96 cubic feet.

Re: math help

volume= pi "3.14" x radius squared x height of the cylinder.
now x the number of cylinders.

want to bore your engine out this is how you would find displacement.

want to talk time warp or the existance of multiple universes as the Fermilab is trying to prove.
doing that by creating a black hole then reversing it and finding a piece missing.
were did the piece go????????????

multiple universes must exist, about the only thing that could have created the big bang.

finding that out would give the answer to "no beginning no end.

there may be billions, trillions as in infanant numbers of universes.

life will go on forever, man won't but life will.

you only see one pile of wood but there is an infanant number of identical piles.

nope your wrong, haven't touched a thing.

now if i could just figure out how to load pics.???

Re: math help

All of these theories about big bangs, parallel universes, etc. come from us failing to understand the meanings of eternity (time) and infinity (space), which Einstein said are the same thing.

Neither has a beginning or and end.

Re: math help

we also know our universe is finite and will end so something has to be very profound to explain infinity.
theory says man can't servive transporting into another universe.
there is a belief our DNA could servive being transported then spewed throughout the new universe.
then hoping some of it would be pulled onto some planet containing life.
some life forms would accept this DNA and become man like.
we have this thing called "the missing link".
could that have happened here and what about other planets??
maybe greek mythology isn't all myth.
so the next time your cutting wood just think what it took for you and it to be so you could do what your doing.
christmas is about birth and birth is extraordinarily dynamic and knows no end.

I don't think we know that at all. As Einstein explained, time and space (distance) are the same thing so neither could end without the other ending.

Consider the Mobius, which has at least two sides that are the same side and has no end or beginning. Increase the number of "sides" that are one side to infinity and you have the unity of time and space that neither begin nor end.

Those seemingly parallel universes are one universe at an infinite number of times and one point in time in an infinite number of universes.

I suppose we "know" this the same way we once "knew" that the world was flat, and the sun revolved around the earth???

You have any references?

What in the world does this have to do with the original question :confused: ?

This could be a good talking point, somebody ought to start a new thread about it.
