Max RPM@WOT 1980 Merc 50hp ????

I can't seem to find a dealer in my area who knows what my max rpm's should be. I was running a 13p prop and getting 5800@wot. This seemed a bit high to me and I need a new prop so I hope someone can answer this before I make a decision.<br />Right now I'm thinking a 14 or maybe 15p.<br />Thanks

According to my manual, WOT should be 5,000-5,500.<br />A 15" prop would put you in the middle of that.
