Had my fresh water cruiser moored every season for several years. Bottom got really bad looking and power washing wouldn't clean it up. So painted it with ablative paint. Every so many years had to sand and repaint.

So had the bottom paint removed and I repainted with epoxy. Bought a lift and never worried about it again, and later sold the boat. Lift is much nicer

Replaced Rev4 with Mirage Plus props today. Took me a bit to figure out how to swap the Tor-flow HD hubs, but got it done.

Removed my props because I wanted to switch from the 19p Rev 4 to 21p Mirage plus hoping i could get some more reverse docking control.

Note: See pic on how the washers were installed. Starboard is in the rear of pic and was installed correctly, port was not. One more item I had to use my breaker bar to loosen the starboard but regular ratchet was all that was needed on port. Spec 55.3 ftlb

Glad I did decide to swap props because who knows what might have happened if left as it was.

No quality Craparral
Are you happy with the boat in general. Was just at the Philly boat show and thought the fit and finish on the chaprrals was pretty good. Was not impressed with the Sea Ray SPXs. SLXs were comfortable interiors on the other hand.

In general no
They look good, but there is a list of issues with the boat and have mentioned some of them prior. Even the deck gelcoat is poor, it has areas starting to show it's wearing through. My old 1994 Formula showed less wear than this one.

I feel for ya, I acquired an old searay a few years ago, 95 model 220 and I don't like it so I have no desire to use it, but it was free. So at least the only thing I'm out is the parts I bought to get it going.

good to know thanks for sharing this. I have never bought a new boat, but our current one is a 2004, kids are almost out of college, was trying to warm the wife up to it.

We have had two smallish Sea Rays ('91 and '04) and they have held up really well but I was really disappointed with the SPX line which I though would be my next go to. The seats were terrible on it..
