Watersparky,<br />I can't believe this has come up again so soon. <br />Compression gages have a Shrader valve core that looks identical to an auto tire valve core. The difference is the lite weight spring used in the compression tester version. <br />This guy has replaced his with tire valve cores. Maybe on purpose. The springs are too stiff to be overcome by the cylinder pressure so they read low.<br />Tell the guy you'll fix his comression testers if he fixes your motor. The proper valve cores cost less than a buck apiece.<br />Charlie

I agree with Joe Reeves! I like to know how things turn out, good, or bad. This board is not just for the new people getting into boating. You can get a lot of good information here! I don't care how long you have been working on these engines.
