Re: Memorial Weekend Boating

We went this weekend and had a great time. .

Quick gripe: Why can't the twice a year people figure out the dual lane concept at a launch. Yesterday's launch zoo would have been much better if the twice a year moron's would figure out the courtesy dock does not mean park your boat in the launch lane so nobody else can use it, and of they figured out that a two lane launch is for two people to use simultaneously!!

My pet peeve is people who have no idea what "NO WAKE ZONE" means. I always flag them down and ask them but they never have an answer.

Re: Memorial Weekend Boating

Figured I'd share my Memorial Day experience.

Went camping at Hirz Bay on Shasta Lake form Friday thru Monday. Ramp traffic could have been a little better but I just dropped her in an we were gone. Shasta lake has a lot of arms and plenty of coves so finding a private spot is not too hard. Sherriff boats did their job and harrassed everyone except me...mostly because we kept to ourselves. The only incidient was a brand new mastercraft cutting me off at the docks on the way back in...he was pulling up to the ramp with a guy still on a tube less than 20 ft from the dock. I kindly told him there is enough traffic as it is, could he please get on the dock or back in the boat. Other than that it was a nice weekend.
