3 blade 17 or 4 blade 16.. 5200 RPM WOT. 18' Fish and Ski deep V.

My new prop is 17 and new tach but tach only shows 4500 I just bought boat and both were broken also 33mph wot boat is 18ft center consol any sugestions would be great thanks

I got about 35 with my 18' at 5200 RPM with sea level jetting at 300ft. At 5000ft I got about 4500 and 33 mph. This was with a 4 blade Stilleto Bay Runner 13x16p. I had a lot of problems to fix on that motor and I finally fixed it by selling it and putting a bigger motor on. Now I go fast enough to enjoy the pleasures of chine walking..

My Merc 100 hp 4 cyl has a 17 pitch Stiletto SS prop and revs to 5500 give or take 200 due to load. When it was new it could rev up to 6k easily but it's old and tired now, just like me

NGK BUHW-2. It's a flat plug. I used to worry about carbon building up on them. Not any more. They just work and never seem to wear down. I have left them alone for the last 10 years.
