Looking at one of these motors. Anybody know the approximate weight on this thing?

I currently have a '57 merc mark 10 which is just a horse and weighs way too much for my boat. Looking to get something that is a little lighter that's still got that ~10hp "go" to it. Any thoughts on this particular model? I haven't got any information on it yet except it's a late 70's 9.8hp short shaft mercury.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks.

He's "not sure" that it's a short shaft. Is there any specific way to tell if it's a short shaft that I could describe to him before I look at it? Something he'd see on his motor if it was a long that he wouldn't if it was a short? To give him a break, all mercury motors look like long shafts to me. :)

Thanks again.

Not sure what really could have changed much weight wise but my 68' comes in right around 87lbs.
