Merc 110(9.8Hp) Impeller replacement

Had the Panfish Slayer out and figured that I should replace the water pump/impeller this year. I've never done it, although my father(who bought it new in about 1974 or so), always had it serviced regularly. There are no issues with it, and I do get a good stream of water...but, "an ounce of prevention..."

I don't have a manual for it...anyone know of an online source?

I can probably find one on Ebay, but being that old, will more than likely end up paying a pretty penny.

If you plan on keeping the motor a manual is a sound investment and can always be used. There are several that will cover your motor plus other larger motors. The cost for them will be nothing compaired to buying another motor. Check on Ebay for one. Mercury manuals are best and others will let you get the job done.

I have a 9.8hp mercury 110 that I changed the impeller about 2 years ago. I used a manual I bought called SELOC. It says on the cover "Mercury Outboards 1965-89 Repair Manual" I think I bought it through IBoats. Google Iboats and you can get to their site. I could also look up the repair for you and make copies and either try to email them (had some mail problems) or just mail them. I need a couple of days to do this if thats what you want. I think I paid about $28.00 for the manual but it was well worth it.

I can't believe I did that. I referred you to Iboats. I had been looking a other sites and just didn't realize I was on Iboats forum until I sent that stupid advice as to where to find the manual. No I am not a nut. Just absent minded. The offer still stands if you need it.l
