Merc 115 trim/ tilt problem

I have a 1990 ELPTO 115 with a trim unit that does not work.
I replaced the original trim motor last year with an ARCO factory replacement.
When I took my boat out of storage last week I attached my fully charged battery and trimmed it up - the unit worked fine - the motor was lifted. I moved the boat into the garage, and while trimming the motor down, I stopped (almost all the way down) and then when I tried to trim it again (maybe 10 minutes later) it didn't move in either direction.
I then checked the fluid (in the upmost position) found it to be completely full. I then checked the current battery charge and found it to be OK.
The trim motor is turning but no movement in either direction.
Does it require additional air bleeding? Is there such a screw on this Merc application? Should I manually cylce with the fill cap off?
If anyone could asssit I would very much appreciate since walleye season is right around the corner.

Thanks for thr reply. I checked the manual release valve when I manually lifted the motor to check for fluid level - the screw is tight and sealed. Any other ideas?

Re: Merc 115 trim/ tilt problem

Ive got a 92 115 that I just put a new trim pump and motor on. It trims great when its on the middle cylinder, but when it gets to the lower two they seem to be resisting going down. It will come right back up though. I don't know if this has anything to do with your problem, but it does sound similar to me. Ive bled the system through the fill cap 20 times and it doesn't help. I'm starting to suspect I have a bad check valve inside one of those lower two cylinders.
