I recently changed my water pumps. everything went back together as normal. Changed the lower unit oil.
I put the ears on it to test the engines.
I put the starboard engine in gear and it sounded like some thing was rattling around. checked the port same thing. it was as if the engines are bouncing in and out of gear. I go up to check the throttles. it feels like they are off. some times the engines will not slid into gear and sometimes they will.
the shifter rod in neutral moves up and down slightly. when in gear it does not.
any ideas of what steps I missed while putting the lower unit back on or what I can check to fix this?
