Merc 20 Hp 1967-79 / Correct starting motor

Hi

Its impossible to get the engine to start with this starting motor.

Anybody can advice for correct starter.

Starters for these engines are no longer available and good used ones bring a premium price. I buy buy every one I can get and am watching 2 on Ebay right now..

Have it rebuilt. Quite vague with you problem. ????

Hi
I have one Merc starting motor. When engine is cold its impossible to get it to start although i have 90AH battery but when engine is warm then it will turn.
I have been searching on ebay.
I have found one seller called Celtic but they cannot advice me which one to buy.
Which one are you looking for in ebay and can you adive the correct one from Celtic.
Do you have props for these engines?
Im looking for stainless steel for my racing engine.
I have one quicki Silver two blade which can be seen from my pi here.

Here are the only 2 on ebay as the company Celtic doesnt not offer one to fit as these have not been made for years and no aftermarket company makes one.....

Hi
I have the one with pin bolts.
I guess the one with bolts are stronger to start an i have seen similar ones for sale on ebay as new.
But for that one needs special bracket which i dont have.
