I have a merc 200 efi when I give it gas to get up on plane the warning buzzer starts chattering all the way down the lake its not a strong solid beep more like it may be a short or bad connection. AS soon as I let off the gas it stops. I,ve checked the oil and the tank on the motor is full up to the neck. I changed the tank cap with the float. when I put the muffs on at home and I cant get the buzzer to sound

Spin the fuel filter off of the motor, and check for water in it. A horn will sound if the sensor is activated by the presence of water in the filter. A weak horn can caused by a number of other items that are getting ready to fail. Get yourself a manual and a DVA meter, and check to make sure the ignition voltage to the warning mudule is where it should be. You may have a switchbox that is getting ready to retire.
