Hello,
I have a 2001 Merc 25hp 4-stroke that is idling very high. When I put it into gear it bangs into gear and we start moving instantly. When I read the manual it shows the idle speed but I do not have a tachmeter. Is there any rules of thumb or should I just spin the idle screw up a 1/4 turn at a time until it stalls and then turn it back up 1/2 a turn?
Thanks
