Merc 3.0 135hp i/o hiccupping a 1/4 throttle

Hey all- been having trouble with my engine hiccupping everytime i try to move from a no wake/coasting point in the throttle. Goes into gear fine and i can make no wake no problem. problem comes when i move the throttle just past this point (prob to 1/4th position). Motor hiccupps and will die if i don't either throw it back in neutral or if i don't slam the throttle down.

any advice to correct??? i've taken to the dealer and all they want to do is open the hatch and check the engine. they won't take the boats out to see the problem themselves.

Sounds like a carb issue to me.....
It's either starving or flooding.......
Check the accelerator pump for proper operation by pulling off the flame arrestor & observing while the throttle is depressed....
There should be two good streams of fuel......​
