I rebuilt the water pump of my '68 3.9hp with all new parts, minus the housing, 4-5 years ago. took it out this past weekend and it wasn't pumping water. got it apart and the impeller is disintegrated. It dosent get used but about 2-3 times per year, so not a lot of hours on that part.
Anyway, it seems like all parts back then - impeller, key, all seals,plates and o-rings, etc - was around $25. Now it looks like the whole kit is around $60 which includes the upper and lower housings. I dont really need the housings, but would like to replace everything else, but cant seem to find that kit. am i missing something or have prices climbed enough that I might as well just get the full kit?
