I have a 1982 26 foot wellcraft cruiser. One of the motors has a knock in the bottom end, so i am pulling both to rebuild them.
Today I disconnected everything, and pulled the manifolds off.
my question is I pulled the motor mounts on either side, and two bolts in the back that hold the bellhousing on. Is that all there is?? 4 bolts holding it down?? Im using a crane to pull the motors, I also have the oudrives off. do the motors just slide of like a spline?? Do i pull them toward the bow?? sorry for so many questions

I can only assume since you said (Two Bolts in back) that you have a Mercruiser. Yes, No ? ? ? ?

Never mind, missed the Merc part in the title.

If you already have the Outdrives Off,...... Ayuh,... The Outdrives Have to be Off....

They pick Straight Up........

4 Bolts,+ the Lines,+ Wires,.......

Remove the two lag bolts that hold each of the front mounts to the stringers and remove the mounts with the engine assembly. Also remove the two bolts at the rear that you described. Total of six bolts. Just lift and pull slightly forward to clear all hardware and boat structure, then lift out. When removing the engine watch for the rear motor mount fiber washers and coil spacers like in the pic below.

Yes the outdrives are off I am going to get those freshened up too. The slines from the outdrives go right into the bellhousing? so if there off it will pick straight up. And the housing stay on the motor. Im still learning
