Merc 9.8 110 help please

I just bought a 9.8 110 to restore serial # 3451716 . I am having firing issues. Does anyone have a picture or the wring harness for this engine ? Also is there a way to test the red module that the high & low speed coils hook to ? Also is there a way to test the high & low speed coils ?

The problem I am having is this ..................
Only one cylinder will fire ( the top Cylinder ) I can unplug the + or the - wire on the top cylinder & the bottom cylinder will fire . However if I leave both cylinders hooked up on coils only the top cylinder will fire. I have took the point lead wire from bottom cylinder moved it to top cylinder coil , the top coil will fire .

I do not know what is going on here . I bought a clymer manual 3.5 to 40 hp 1972 to 1989 to obtain some function tests . I had no luck basically a lot of tear down information .

You may have a chargig coil bad here's the ign test, also those engines have a history of the insulater blocks on the point studs shorting out.

Who sells the little white things that the points studs slip into ?
