Merc Throttle control

Can the throttle control be adjusted so WOT is not all the way down, guess I am saying is can "slack be adjusted" so the WOT could be more in the area of 75% down forward instead off all the way level with the deck ?

Not sure if Im making any sense...
apprecheaite the help...

best bet would be to rotate your control box and remount, the position for WOT has to do with the timing of your controls.....I'm sure there's someone who'll have a better idea

There are no adjustments on standard MerControls. Make sure it will open the throttle competely, by inspecting the butterflys.

You don't mention the type of Merc throttle control you have.

I THINK the the throttle lever on the MerControl units can be rotated relative to the control box. The handle is mounted on a splined shaft. Remove the rear cover of the box, remove the single screw holding the throttle lever in place, pull the lever off and rotate to the desired position. Reassemble.

Neutral of course will no longer be in the straight UP position.

Now thats a great idea.. I may not even be at WOT !!! Something else for me to check out.. Thanks... Ahhh the joys of buying used !
