I own a 1987 Merc XR2 150, which until recently has been virtually flawless since the day I purchased it (new). I began noticing excess smoke during startups several months ago. Then a few weeks ago I noticed oil dripping from the powerhead into my boat's drywell. The leaking occurs when the boat is not in use and the motor is tilted up. There seems to be more oil flowing now and on the last trip to the lake, I ended up with a fouled plug. I checked for a thread with a matching problem but could not come up with one. I would appreciate any advice.
