MerCarb torque stud nuts

Hi all,

How on earth do you torque the carb stud nuts to the manifold? I can get one quite easily with the torque wrench, but the rest are tucked right in the corners which makes putting a socket over it quite difficult.

What tool am I missing that would probably solve the problem in a few minutes?

A box end or open end wrench. No need to torque the carb studs.

Thanks that lead me to what I need, crowfoot adapter will fit my current torque wrench and get the job done.

I have a 2005 3.0L mercruiser, it lists 20 lb-ft for "Carburetor to manifold" in the service manual?

just snug them down and go boating.

Ayuh,.... Use yer Calibrated Elbow, instead of a torque wrench,...
