Mercriuiser 140 Trim Woes

I recently went though and checked all my electircal connections and solenoids to make sure everythings in good shape. I hit the switch and hear them click, but the motor doesn't seem to be moving in either direction. I crossed the solenoid points to see if they were fried, but got the same results. I cleaned the motor and brushes and I dont know what else to do everthing is spotless, tight, well lubed, and should technically be working. But its not. Anyone seen this before? Can I manually check the pump somehow? Any parts in the motor than could/should be replaced?

They made the 140 for a LONG time.They used at least 3 maybe 4 different trim pumps.Give us more details and maybe we can answer the ???? Fill out the profile or are you hiding from someone?? J

ok. a little follow-up here. I rebuilt the motor with new brushes and soldered the connections up and now the motor stirs to life. BUT... It's not pushing the fluid. (which kinda resembles chocolate milk) I"m thinkin maybe water/air stirred up in the lines. I've taken everything back apart again and put it back together with new seals and I cleaned out the little filter in the valve body(?) I'll fill it up with 10/30 and let you know what happens. I'm guessing that as long as the cylinders arent spewing oil everywhere then they're ok? also anything in that "valve body" that can go bad or need servicing?

PS. the motor seems to be pretty rough. Any chance that it doesn't need the springs behind the brushes since they're brand new?

I Need A Pro!!!

Ok, so after all the rewiring, refilling, rebuilding and rediculous failure of my trim I'm at my wits end. I can hear the motor spinning around in there, but still the trim wont move on its own. -at least not down... Sometimes it will come up, but then inevitably gets stuck there and then I have to drain the lines to let it back down. It's almost like it doesn't want to work as long as there's actually pressure on it. When I pull up on the motor by hand and have someone else push the button it actually feels like its working. What would cause this? Any help is really appreciated.
