Just a thought here, on my 3.0 I have a fuel filter inside the fuel pump and another filter on the carb inlet which the fuel line connects to. Any chance either or both of those fuel filters may be clogged? Another thought is water in the fuel....normal problems are upon acceleration, so have you checked your fuel tank for any water inside. Just looking at easier things you might consider as suspect.

I wanted to report back since this weekend i was busy with family. We did decide to take the boat out Monday and was interesting to find that we didnt have the problem. Had a slight shutter on take off but nothing like what was previously reported. The only thing i did was left the blower motor running the whole trip and i filled it up with gas. I only added about 12 gallons to fill it up and i am pretty sure i have a 30 gallon tank when i was in it to check the pickup screen.

Could the full tank change something? just seems odd a full tank would make a difference.
