When you reinstall the lower to the upper, you need to twist the shift shaft on the lower clockwise and rotate the prop counter clockwise until it locks. Keep pressure on the prop either by hand or with a bungee cord, to keep it in forward. If it bumps out of forward you have to start over and put it in forward before mating with the upper.
Install it to the upper which in forward, will be straight ahead. pressure on the lower until bolted together.
