you never answered bond-o's question about the tune up. Not sure why everyone was so quick to jump on a fuel issue. Could just as easily be spark/timing. Have you changed plugs/points/distro cap/checked wires and checked timing/dwell?

for all u people out there that have these problems with the 3.0 lx 1 put a kit in your carb every year 28 dollars wholsale marine run 92 93 octane this will stop the dying problem hard starts when hot i have a 28 ft with twin 3.0 changed gas and carb kits i go 28 miles offshore and those are the best litte engines good on gas f an outboard 2 mile a gallon
