Here is an update. I pulled the speedi sleeve off and replaced the front cover. Went through a tank of fuel last weekend and no leak yet. Now I have unrelated trouble but should be back in the water by the end of next weekend. I will post again if the leak comes back. Thanks to everyone for all the ideas.

Does anyone know how you might go about completely bypassing the water pump seal issue or more accurately what problems you would face like if you were to add a external pump for the coolant wouldn’t have to go in the water pump/gear case cover
