I know I'm probably looking at a rebuild / new block ... but wanted to get some opinions first.
I've got a 1994-ish Mercruiser 5.7L V8 (350) and the compression is good in 6 of the cylinders (130psi - 140psi), but the 2 cylinders on the coupler end (I forget which cyl# they are) are about 60psi
So I have the motor out and mounted on a stand, what are some simple things that would cause these two cylinders to have low compression?? Bad gasket? Stuck valves?
Thanks for the help!
