Hi All,

Love this forum, thanks to all the participators, certainly a wealth of information!

Here is my issue Im hoping to get feed back. I have mercruiser 7.4 in my 96 Baja 232 performance and took it out yesterday and while running, runs ok but then has a sputter/misfire to it...As I Feel that, I gave it throttle and seems to help it, but will do it again after. I noticed at one point it ran around 4K Rpm for a good, 5-10 minutes without a single misfire/sputter, but then started to do it again. Not sure if Im dealing with something electrical, or fuel?

Would greatly appreciate any input/advice.

Thanks~!

Good point I guess...I will look at it.

I was thinking more in the point of I was having a electric issue or fuel issue.

Thought I would post an update.
Had a mecanic friend come to my place to look at the boat, and after a few trials, noticed corrosion in the connector for the computer board on the motor (Sorry, I dont know the technical term, white/green, white/red wires going to distributor). Cleaned that up, and boat purrs like a kitten.

There really wasnt alot of corrosion on there, I was amazed by how such lil corrosion would wreak havoc.

Happy boating!
