I'm having problems with slow shifting and stalling on shifting on my Mercruiser 120 (1973).

What I've learned so far is that this if often a symptom of problems with the cut out switch (shift interrupt switch).

I cleaned up and lubed the switch, and it seems to be "making" properly on each cam.

The fork-shaped shift plate that actuates the cut out switch has a threaded hole with what looks like a rubber grommet. There is no bolt in there, but my manual refers to a "cut out switch lever screw". Just a line drawing and some instructions on adjusting it. I have a feeling the previous owner may have lost it or left it out.

Anybody know what that screw/bolt looks like? In the drawing it looks like a regular hex head bolt. The hole looks to be 1/4-20 or 1/4-28 thread.
