Mercruiser dipstick tube

Mercruiser 1980 260. #5569077. Port side dipstick.

I converted to center rise exhaust manifolds and vortec heads.
In the process I broke the dipstick tube off at the block.

I can purchase the replacement tube #3272539, which is part of a two piece dipstick tube and was used with the log style manifolds.

However I would prefer one more suited to the center rise manifolds.
Would the #92163A2 , which appears to be a one piece tube be the better choice.

Ayuh,...

Merc has used a Bunch of dipstick configurations over the years,...
And,...
In 1980, Chevy moved it to the Starboardside...

With the changes you're making, You're pretty much Self-engineering as you Go,...
Those #s really don't mean a Thing to Me,...And I ain't gonna look'em up...
So I can't say whether Either 1 of them would be My choice, If I were Re-engineering what you're doing....

In other words,... Ya gotta Picture,..??

I guess a better way to ask, is what is the difference, if any, in how they attach to or assemble to the block. The pics in the parts catalogs don't show this well.

This was also my thought. However the parts pics appear to both be port side dipsticks.

I'm guessing others who have made the swap to the center rise have some experience here, or techs with knowledge of the change in models.

Spent a couple hours last week digging around a marine salvage yard here but I couldn't find any center rise configurations.
