When removing the screws from the trim position senders a couple got chewed up.
Are these screws stainless and if not what are they? Are they a std thread?

I was hoping to just go to West Marine and pick-up a few stainless screws to replace them.....

Yes...

Again, yes... They are 3/4" x 3/16" UNF (28tpi)

Ayuh,... Your local Hardware Store probably has them for 1/2 the price of West Marine...

Be wary... A lot of 'mum and dad' hardware stores carry stainless steel screws, and you think you're getting the same as the marine shop, for half the price.... What you're actually getting is 304 stainless steel, not 316 stainless steel.

And it's really difficult to tell them apart, even when you have one of each in your hands....

Take a screw with you Tony, the screws I use are either 10-24 or 10-32 (can't remember which right now) panhead machine screws. Which ever you get 304 or 316 will work, just put some Perfect seal on the threads to keep them from freezing in the gimbal ring and you should be good to go.

Thanks guys........Don, that's just what I did.......it's a 10-32.....didn't have a chance o do the bellows this w/e.......hopefully next w/e.
