i've never had something fail for lack of the correct grease--it's always been lack of or insufficient grease/oil or contamination. i'm with bond-o's sig on this one...
dont use the spline grease on roller bearings as they will flat spot this is what my merc mech told me . it is a sliding grease and wont let the rollers turn as a regular grease.
