I have a Mercury 115h.p. that was running just fine.It had alot of grease and grime around the engine, so i decided to spray some degreaser on the warm motor. I rinsed with water and now i have no spark.I pulled each plug and checked for spark, nothing . I'd really appreciate some help in finding out what I screwed up?I,ve also pulled the distributer cap, dry as a bone.

If you have compressed air, blow off all conections.Use a fairly light psi though.Or go out and buy some of that stuff you use for that purpose.Good luck, and don't panic.

Get a blow dryer and use low heat and dry distributor. Distributor has vent on side of it, you just got water in it.

I tried the blowdryer, still no fire. I spoke to a mechanic and he said i should start pricing a powerpack. Is this true?I didn't even use a huge amount of water, just a steady stream.I checked for fire again, all 6 showing no fire.Could the coil have gone out?It was running great before i rinsed it out.Any ideas would really be helpful, idon't know what to do.
