Mercury 175 rx2 SportJet lift ring

I want to lift the powerhead out of the boat to work on the engine. The service manual specifies a lift ring that screws into the Flywheel. There are threads in the flywheel to accomidate the lift ring, does anyone know what thread spacing and size this would be. I have tried pipe sizes but they seem to be too big or small.

The thread size is 1-1/2", 16tpi... fine thread (not pipe thread)<br /><br />You're gonna have a hard time finding anything off the shelf that will fit, besides the actual lift ring from Mercury...<br /><br />One can be made if you have a lathe however and maybe a welder, I had a machinist cut me those threads a while back....<br /><br />Here's what the Mercury lifting eye looks like. Ignore the bolt going through the center of it, that was added by me to make it work as a flywheel puller also.<br /><br />
