Mercury 50hp Idle adjustment

Can anyone tell me where the idle adjustment screw is located on a 1981 merc 50hp, its a 4cyl 2 cycle and since the fuel pumps were re-built it ticks over a tad fast ....also, does anyone know for sure if this motor has some kind of battery charger built in? ive been told by some it has, and others it hasn't

Regarding the charging. The 1981 50 has a stator (under the flywheel) and a rectifier (Starboard side) near and above the switchbox. A combination of these 2 charge the battery. If your motor is hooked up, start it and measure voltage across the battery. Should be around 14-15v running. The Mercarbs are adjustable for idle and mixture. You need to refer to the manual for your particular motor.
