mercury 70 hp

I have a mercury 70 hp it goes full out for about an hour and then starts to go at 30 % speed shut it down same thing next day why is it starving for fuel and getting hot oil is full gas mixture is right .

That sounds more like ign than fuel have you checked for spark on all cyls when it's acting up?

iam going to change to better plugs and after giving the motor a though going over i found a small gas /oil tube was slit and needs replacing also so i will go over everthing one a time to eliminate probable causes
