Mercury 90 hp driveshaft removal

Working on lower unit 2001 mercury 90 hp six jaw reverse. 3 cylinder 2 stroke. Does the driveshaft slide out after removing water pump assembly? If not what needs to be done to remove the driveshaft from the lower unit?

There is a nut on the bottom of the driveshaft.-----Propshaft bearing carrier must be removed.
