I have a Bass Tracker PT 185 with a Mercury 90hp 2 stroke 2005 model.

I wanting to buy a SS prop to gain better overall performace and top speed.

The prop that's on it right now is a 12.75x21P Black Max.

WOT rpms with just me and gear in the boat is 5500 with 44.5 mph on the gps.

With a fully loaded boat I get 5400 rpms and 41 mph on the gps.

What are your alls advice on wich prop to try?

I'd rather not have to try several props to find the right one if I can get away with it.

Thanks,
Scott

Re: Mercury 90hp?

I have the same boat and motor. I just changed my prop to a stainless. The prop I used was ordered from Iboats. It is a Michigan Match prop. The part # is 033019. It is a 13 x 21. You wont believe how much better my boat performs with this prop. I dont have a gps yet but my boat is running a lot faster now. It carries a ton more bow lift also. It gets up on the pad and feels more like a big fiberglass rig now. The holeshot wasnt quite as good so I drilled vent holes in the prop and solved that problem.

P.S. I also live in Harrodsburg
hope this helps

Those are pretty cheap compared to the Laser II I was looking at. They are on back order right now.

Does it come with a different hub?

So which lake do you fish most, I'm guessing Herrington?

About the same. Maybe a 100 more. Its turning about 5600 with a normal load. This prop doesnt lose bite suddenly like the aluminum did. I need to get a gps to find out where it is performing the best at.
