Just wondering, in the manual it tells me to replace the load ring under the flywheel. This is a 2007 4 stroke 60hp EFI. Problem is I have my timing belt/flywheel ready to re-install and do not have a new load ring. The $20 isn't what gets me, it's the 1 week waiting period to get the part and get it re-installed.

Do you tech's replace the load ring when replacing the flywheel or is it overkill? Thanks!!

Your gamble. Look at the old one. Does it look like it needs to be replaced? If you are in the repair business, having satisfied customers and no call backs is what makes for success. If doing your own work, you make the decision and live with it. I seldom replace just to be replacing working on my own stuff. My reasoning is just as yours, waiting on something when I'm in the middle of a job and the parts I took apart look plenty good to go back in. So far I haven't regretted any of my decisions on anything I repair of mine over the years.
