Craigs1904 do you have a good wiring schematic diagram? Most maintenance manuals (even after market ones like Solec and Clymers) have basic ignition wiring diagrams. Each of your ignition packs have a kill wire. As pnwboat said these will all tie together on that terminal strip on the left side of the motor (facing forward). Disconnect them from the terminal and see if it starts. Also, while the kill wires are disconnected, put an inductive timing light on one of the ignition leads and see if it's firing. Check all to see what you get. Getting back to that maintenenace manual. Those schematics are simple to follow. All wires are color coded and some have numbers on them to ID them. Verify correct connections before you start swapping components. If you need an ignition schematic, let me know.

Craigs1904, that's not exactly a schematic. that just shows one small section of the wiring off of one of your packs and that picture is only a section of one of your terminal blocks. There's a whole lot more to look at than that. Your schematic should show all ignition connections for every pack, every pair of trigger wires, every lead to the primary windings of each coil, kill wires from each pack, all grounds, stator wires to your rectifier...everything. If just one wire is on the wrong terminal or touching something it shouldn't it can be the source of your problem. You need a full schematic to look at so you can trace out each wire and connection.

Craigs1904..the short answer is Yes. That jumper wire thing. I don't know, never seen that, but JerryJerry05 might have. There are a lot of "senior mariners" on this forum that have seen and experienced more than I ever will. I'd be tracing every wire. I'll see if I can find a schematic.
